A sports drama about a record-breaking athlete who won four gold medals at the 1936 Summer Olympics. From the Palme d'Or nominee of the Cannes Film Festival, The Life and Death of Peter Sellers, Stephen Hopkins, Jesse Owens (Stephen James) became the first in his family to enter college, and a young African-American from the working class strikes coach Larry Sneeder with coach Larry Sneeder. While Owens is preparing to compete in the Summer Olympics in Berlin, the United States is hesitant to participate in competitions held by Nazi Germany.

The release of the film "Willpower" coincides with the 80th anniversary of the 1936 Olympic Games. Jesse Owens' daughters took part in its creation. The authors of the picture gave them a script for approval. Later, the athlete's children were present during the filming and helped director Stephen Hopkins to create the right image of his father.
